Final Fantasy
I
can't call myself a real follower of the Final Fantasy series as
I've only actually played a few of their games, yet from what I've seen
of them they they tend to privide a solid adventure RPG complete with
cool looking magic and skills, intelligent levelling up and combat
systems and cool looking monsters. Some people complain that their
storylines are to linear and there are too many cutscenes and
conversations and not enough free roaming, however, in answer to that,
when I played the games I played them thinking of them like stories
which you could get involved in,enjoying the story they told whilst
also enjoying defeating all the mighty enemies in their way - I ended
up feeling more like a member of their group, though you couldn't see
me...
On the whole I have found each of the games I've played engrossing and
entertaining, although there are a couple of them that I didn't enjoy
so much ( Final Fantasy III / 4 heroes of light) and they do sometimes
have boring/ really hard parts or travelling situations which really
drag on, they make up for it with excellent gameplay and great
graphics, also I should mention the soundtrack which in each of them
has been bloody amazing.
In the end, if your an RPG/Fantasy fan and enjoy levelling up guys,
collecting loot from mosters and getting the best weapons for your
team, you should really enjoy these games, though there are quite a few
people who wont ( those who want to blow stuff up and aren't in touch
with their fantasy-loving side). Also, my favorite has been FF IX -
Vivi FTW!!!
